How I am Building and SEO my websites

1) What kind of SEO work do you do, when you have built the site?
–I have been pretty successful using link exchange champaigns. That’s where I (my outsourcer) as other webmasters to exchange links with each other. The sites I exchange links with are relevent to my site, so it’s almost seen as a resource.
Another method I am toying with is directory and article submission. So far, directory submission seems so-so. Article submission does seem promising, although I do need to fine tune this method as too many links are coming back to me with the same content and anchor text link which could be easily filtered. So this must done carefully.
I still haven’t tried Press Release yet, but once things settle down a bit I’ll do that as well.
2) Once you wrote, that you outsource article writing. Do you keep on with this? You intended to put some 25-30 articles on your websites. Is this enough or do you feed your sites with more content?
– Yes, everything I mentioned is outsourced. I don’t dare do any writing because I hate writing. Writing this blog is even hard and I am into this subject
I start the site with 25-30 pages. That’s enough meat for the search engines to feed on. Once the site gets going and I think there’s real potential (good Price Per Click and traffic) I’ll add additional articles. Later a forum, then more articles and restructure the site a bit to make it look more official. The first version is basically a shotgun tactic - “here it is” and see if it sticks. So far, I have been lucky (not really, I do lots of research
, but I am just starting out and there aren’t that many sites yet.
What kind of content do you use anyway?
My content is derived from WordTracker research. It’s all about keywords. That’s why the initial research is very important. I find topics that have decent traffic and paying ads. I used to give weight on how much competition there is, but I think that’s less of a problem now. I won’t go into ultra competitive fields like credit card or insurance just because it takes a lot of work/time/focus. So it’s just to low hanging fruits for now, and there’s plenty to be had.
My site portfolio is bigger, but I don’t see a point updating it for now because I am not going into specifics about what niche I am in. I may have a chart of a very general niche phase progress later on. Since they’re new sites and not established there’s really no results just yet.
