1) Diet site arbitrage. Yes, I am doing a bit of arbitrage with my diet site again since it’s not new year and many people have their New Year Resolution to keep. However, it’s a little different than the past arbitrage where it was straight Adword to Adsense. Since google has raised my min bid to average of 15 cents per click, I am actually lossing a bit of money between adword and adsense. However, the affiliate commision makes up for the difference. In the end of the day, I made an extra $415.79 where I wouldn’t have if I didn’t do any Pay Per Click (Adword PPC). Adword cost me $1375.37 and Adsense made $811.16. The affilliate commission came out to be $980. These are pretty big numbers to me, but the numbers work out. I don’t think this will be long term strategy, but I am collecting over 50-70 emails a day, so that may help with adsense and other affiliates later on.
2) Article marketing works! Since I have been submitting some of my content to ezine directories, my new websites have been consistently getting a small amount of traffic which results in $.50 - $4 a day. I varies with site and search demand, but this is very encouraging. Since I only started this strategy this month, it has much potential for growth. Also, it’s something very much in my control where SEO link champaigns are iffy business.
3) My cellphone site’s content that I had outsource in Oct of last year is paying off. The reviews are on first page of google for some cellphones. I am consistently making over $10 a day now which is great considering I bought the site for $2K and it was making less than a dollar a day. I am looking into hiring a write/webmaster to do more reviews.
All these things have attributed to my increase in income. I am hoping to break $2K in Feburary. I’ll need to do more article submit. Add some new sites and add more content to existing sites. I also need to lock down a system for link acquisition.
My diet income may suffer this month as the new year resolution craze is settling down, so we’ll see what happens. I am hoping to do some email campaign to boost adsense and covert some sales.
All in all, the most important lesson this month is article marketing. It does WORK. although, it might not be as sexy as SEO, it’s a reliable long term strategy. Now I am more bold and willing to go after some high paying keyword niches.
