My Website Portfolio as of 9/1/06
Published by fongrich on Tagged UncategorizedCurrently, I have 5 websites. I have bought 3 and build 2 on my own. I will be building 10+ new niche sites this month.
Current Sites-
Diet Site: I built this last year around July. I let it sit there forever until I decided to do some tweaking with my Adsense in May 06. Call it butterfly effect. That little change is changing my entire life and outlook.
Gadget Site: My first purchase ($2K). It was undervalued, because I knew the layout of adsense were not optimized. It was generating less than $3/day, after migration into my format it’s now getting around $9/day. The traffic is increasing as well, because I hired someone to add more content.
Tech Site: My second purchase ($15K). It was supposed to make $1k/month, but when it was first transferred to me, it was making $6/day… I was a bit distressed to say the least. However, the seller was honest and when one of the page got picked up as #1 on Google, my earning shot up to around $18/day. Still not $1k a month, but it’s seasonal and I see it going higher. Plus, I still need to finish my migration into an optimized format.
Golf Site: My third and last purchase for a while ($1K). I bought it because I wanted a golf site for its potential. It’s already listed in DMOZ (open directory) which I can’t do with my own sites. All I need to do is add more content and SEO it. It’s currently generating around $1/day. However, it’s really well optimized adsense wise, so there’s little work that needs to be done on that end.
Health Niche Site: My little puppy site that I created in June. This site has been generating around $3/day. Since it’s so new, I am very happy with the result. It’s even been getting traffic from Google which I didn’t expect because of their ’sandbox’. However, maybe that is just a myth. In any case, I can only see this site grow in traffic as it gets older and acquire more links.
Looking at my porfolio…
I have spent 18K and making around $1200 a month. I’d make my money back in a little over a year. Pretty good return, although nothing is guaranteed in business, especially this internet business. I am running low on capital so I am using the rest to build my own 10 niche site. It’ll cost me around $4K to hire writer, developers and SEO. If it works like I imagine, these 10 sites should be pulling in an additional $1500 revenue in 3-6 months time. That’s only $5/day per website which is pretty low estimate. By that time, I should have 20 more built if I keep up my momentum. 
Once I have that many websites, I’ll focus on the ones that have most potiential and really try to make it a great site. For now, it’s just research and testing with these mini (20-50 page) websites.
